AND WEDDINGS

The Store is well equipped to host events of all types and sizes. We welcome cruise ships, garden visits, musicians, comedians, classic car excursions, birthday bashes, kids parties, christmas functions and of course, weddings. There are a number of spaces available for use. The large top lawn is perfect for a ceremony overlooking the sea. The steps to the deck are ideal for a group photo and the bottom lawn can hold an epic marquee. There are both outdoor and indoor options to allow for events all year around and ensure we always have a ‘Plan B’ on hand. There are a number of beautiful local churches in the area and plenty of visitor parking. We are ideal for Corporate Events and Staff functions including Christmas Parties. We also hold live music events over the course of the year.

There is no minimum number of guests for the event although depending on the season, there may be a minimum charge per person should exclusive use of the property be required. The maximum number is 140 guests should you wish to be seated inside. Marquees can accommodate more if required. If you prefer to have a cocktail style function without set seating then larger groups may be possible.

For corporate events we’ll work with you to design the perfect menu whether its summer lucheons, relaxed evening bbqs or drinks and nibbles. For weddings, we work with all main caterers in the area and can highly recommend Feast Merchants, Karaka Kitchen, the Boom Town chef and Flo & Co in Kaikoura.

We serve local wines, a selection of national and local craft beer, spirits, cocktails and non alcoholic beverages and can work with you to source your preferred brands if required.

There are plenty of options for accommodation in the area, in addition to our campsite just next door. Camp Kekerengu is a beautiful glamping spot just 10 minutes away, there is also a Coastal Lodge BnB just across the road, a unique bottle house on a local farm, Kekerengu cottage on a beautiful vineyard and various Shearers Quarters that make for a great adventure for larger groups. Alternatively embrace some real luxury with your bridal party at the new and exclusive Copper Black in Blenheim.

The following days are often just as fun as the functions themselves. We are happy to arrange brunch or even a relaxed crayfish lunch for day after gatherings. Or get adventurous and organise group shuttles at Middle Hill or rafting with Clarence River Rafting. There’s a tonne to explore in the region.
